The documents that must be submitted when submitting the file to the Local Ethics Committee of Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine are listed below:
1) Petition and Commitments (Signatures must be complete)
2) Local Ethics Committee Application Form
3) Informed Consent Form: The content of the Informed Consent Form must be sufficient and appropriate for the research designed (except for survey studies and retrospective studies to be conducted with healthy volunteers).
4) At least 3 sources (full text) must be added to the file. (digital as PDF)
In order for the application file to be included in the meeting agenda, it must be delivered to the secretariat at least 7 days before the meeting date.
The application petition, Letters of Commitment, Local Ethics Committee Application Form and Informed Consent Form, if any, should be placed in separate plastic bags and submitted in a blue file.
Application petition, Letters of Commitment, Application form (without signatures), If necessary, Informed Consent Form, Questionnaire, 3 Sources (full text) must be sent in a single pdf format, at the same time as the file, to the address of etikselcuk@gmail.com. Applications will be evaluated at the next meeting according to the density of the agenda and the order of applications.

After a formal preliminary examination by the Ethics Committee secretariat, applications specified in the relevant legislation and in accordance with the application forms are processed.
All research conducted on humans without requiring the direct intervention of a physician, defined as "non-invasive clinical research" in the Regulation on Clinical Research, constitutes the scope of non-drug and medical device clinical research that will be evaluated by the Commission. These studies are stated below:
a) Survey studies,
b) Retrospective archive scans and similar observational studies using file and image records,
c) Studies to be carried out with biochemistry, microbiology, pathology and radiology collection materials such as blood, urine, tissue and images, or with materials obtained during routine examination and treatment procedures,
d) Cell or tissue culture studies,
d) Research to be carried out with genetic material for identification purposes, other than gene therapy clinical research
e) Research to be conducted within the boundaries of nursing activities,
f) Research on body physiology such as exercise (research on therapeutic effects is out of scope)
g) Studies based on anthropometric measurements,
h) All research to be conducted on humans without requiring the direct intervention of a physician, such as research on the evaluation of living habits,
i) Other: Other research that is not included in the above groups and that will be conducted on humans without requiring the direct intervention of a physician.
